1847. It was Purchased August, 1998 in Statesville, N. C.

-33" long. Made from the crook of a branch as shown by all the gnarls on it.  It is very- delicate with a brass tip. It was probably made for a lady. Purchased in Jacksonville, Fla. Sept., 1998.

- 84" x 24" x 34-1/2". Empire style. Mahogany, rolled crest rail, shaped back and arm supports, rolled seat rail, feet. It is possible that this sofa was in the house originally and passed from owner to owner. Date is compatible with 1845 date…

12 " x 26". Clear glass, etched foliate and floral decorations. Smoke bell. Used in entrance hallways from the 1830s onwards. Whale oil fuel originally.
