6" x 20". Frame 23-1/2" x 26-1 /2" Typical activity of the period, but these people are better dressed than most. W.S. Mount, the painter, was one of the first American artists recognized by Europeans. This scene was titled "Boys Trapping" when painted in 1839. It was engraved in Paris in 1850. (NANCY & MERLE MOORE)
